Yesterday, Logan turned 19-months-old. Wow, is all I can say. Time truly flies.
My big plan as a new mother was to write tonnes of heartfelt letters to my son. It’s not happening. (The shame. The guilt. I can hardly bear it.) Since I’m pretty sure I’ll never actually scrapbook, (despite having way too much of the crap one requires to do so,) I’m looking for other ideas.
I was thinking a pocket-sized day timer would work nicely to collect the various anecdotes, funny-things-said, milestones, etc., that occur on a daily basis. At the end of the year, I can toss it into Logan’s stash of ‘memories’ and trust that it will be there for him when he’s ready to read it. (Should he desire to do so.)
En lieu of letters, I’ve been writing kid-friendly poetry/songs as of late. I like to think that Logan and I are at it together. When he’s laughing, I know we’re on the right track. Here’s a taste of our genius:
